Ceilidh featuring Union Street Band at Mellor Brook Community Centre Saturday 11 March 7.30 pm
This trio, all hailing from Blackburn, play stomping jigs, reels, schottisches, hornpipes and waltzes. The band regularly perform throughout the North West for weddings, anniversaries, birthdays and increasingly for dog training clubs, but rarely for public events. With some of their own original compositions thrown in, this is an all too rare opportunity to step along to our own local lads.
Mellor Brook’s own fiddle group, The Palatine Fiddlers will be plating a medley of local tunes and Lancashire dialect speaker, Sid Calderbank will also entertain by regaling Lancashire stories.
Dances will be called by Roger Downing
